Early Morning Construction Activity: Tuesday, September 15

FBCLID 2 Third Pump Station
2602 Oakland Drive
Sugar Land, TX 77479

Please be aware that construction activity on the FBCLID 2 Third Pump Station will require early morning work hours.  The contractor is scheduled to place concrete for the outfall channel foundation and a portion of the pump station walls.  Concrete trucks are scheduled to start arriving at 5:00 a.m. and are expected to run continuously until 1:00 p.m.

The contractor will stage concrete trucks on Elkins Road, in front of Clements High School, to limit parking on Oakland Drive inside the neighborhood.  Please remain aware of construction activity during this time. If possible, limiting street parking on Oakland Drive will provide more room for all drivers.

The pump station foundation was poured in early August, and now construction has started on the walls that will support the new pumps.  At the same time, the contractor has also started working on the foundation of the outfall channel where the pumps will release the water.  FBCLID 2 appreciates your patience, particularly the residents of Austin Meadows, as the District works to complete this critical flood control project.  The pump station is scheduled to be in operation by Spring 2021.

FBCLID 2 Third Pump Station
2602 Oakland Drive
Sugar Land, TX 77479

Please be aware that major construction activity on the FBCLID 2 Third Pump Station will require additional overnight work hours.  The pump station intake foundation concrete pour is still scheduled to begin at 1:00 am on Wednesday, August 19.  The intake foundation is 3 feet deep, and the large pour will require 80 truckloads of concrete.  The foundation placement is another critical construction activity that requires continuous work until all the concrete is placed.  Beginning at 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19 work lights will be turned on and equipment will be staged around the site.  At 3:00 a.m. concrete trucks are scheduled to start arriving and are expected to run continuously until 2:00 p.m.

The contractor will stage concrete trucks on Elkins Road, in front of Clements High School, to limit parking on Oakland Drive inside the neighborhood.  Please remain aware of construction activity during this time. If possible, limiting street parking on Oakland Drive will provide more room for all drivers.

The main pump station foundation that required over 200 truckloads of concrete was completed on Monday, August 10.  The foundation for the intake structure will require the same construction activities but will take less time to complete.  FBCLID 2 appreciates your patience, particularly the residents of Austin Meadows, as the District works to complete this critical flood control project.

State Highway 6 Widening – Waterline and Drainage Improvements

FBCLID 2 along with the City, FCCSA and TxDOT will coordinate efforts for the upcoming waterline and drainage improvements along State Highway 6 (SH6).

Beginning Monday, August 17, 2020, residents of Meadow Lakes and The Lakes may notice a lower lake level at Town Center Lake (Ditch F) than normal. FBCLID2 will draw down the lake for the installation of the City’s waterline and the Texas Department of Transportation drainage inlets as part of the SH6 improvements. The lake level will remain lower than normal until such time the work is completed.
