Third Pump Station Construction Update Weekend Construction Activity – Sunday, December 20, 2020

FBCLID 2 Third Pump Station
2602 Oakland Drive
Sugar Land, TX 77479

The last major concrete placement on the Third Pump Station Project will complete the deck where the new stormwater pumps are installed.  This critical activity is still scheduled for Wednesday, December 30.  However, recent wet weather has slowed down the crews preparing forms for the concrete placement.  The electrical crew installing the conduit in the pump deck is now scheduled to work on Sunday, December 20.  The contractor will not operate any equipment on site before 8:00 a.m.

On Wednesday, December 30, the pump deck concrete placement will require additional early morning work hours, and the contractor will arrive onsite by 2:00 a.m.  At 4:00 a.m. concrete trucks will start arriving and are expected to run continuously until 1:00 p.m.  The concrete finishing crews will be complete by 4:00 p.m. and evening work hours will not be required.  The contractor will stage concrete trucks on Elkins Road, in front of Clements High School, to limit parking on Oakland Drive inside the neighborhood.  Please remain aware of construction activity during this time.  A follow-up notification will be distributed the week prior when all dates and times are confirmed.

The Third Pump Station is still scheduled to be in operation by Spring 2021, before the start of Hurricane Season.  FBCLID 2 appreciates your patience, particularly the residents of Austin Meadows, as the District works to complete this critical flood control project.
