• The Brazos River is now forecasted to crest on Sunday, May 12. The highest forecasted water elevation in Ditch H created by the Brazos River will put water at the bottom of the FBCLID2 levee.  The flood gates in the levee are closed, so no water from the Brazos River can enter FBCLID 2.  However, all rainfall through the weekend must be pumped out of the levee.
• Drainage ditch levels south of US-59/IH-69 (including Ditches A and C) have been pumped down to 58.4 feet.  The water is down more than 7 feet from the peak level on Tuesday, May 7.
• The Bill Little Pump Station that drains the area south of US-59/IH-69 has run continuously with no issues since Tuesday afternoon and is operating normally.
• Five auxiliary pumps have also been installed and are pumping water out of the levee.
• North of US-59/IH-69, the Ditch F drainage system has been pumped down to the minimum level possible.  The Mike Thelen pump station is ready and on standby if rainfall resumes.
• Additional rainfall is anticipated for FBCLID 2 from Thursday, May 9^th through Saturday, May 11^th.
• The flooding experienced in FBCLID 2 was created by intense rainfall on Tuesday, May 7 and was not caused by on-going construction projects.
• The next FBCLID 2 Emergency Operations Update is scheduled for Friday, May 10 at 9:00 a.m. unless conditions change overnight. Residents are encouraged to sign up for email and text alerts through the district’s website to stay up-to-date on the latest district news.

The following is a status update for Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 2 (FBCLID2) Emergency Operations:

• The Brazos River is forecasted to crest on Friday, May 10 but will stay elevated through the weekend. The highest forecasted water elevation in Ditch H created by the Brazos River will remain 2’ below the bottom of the FBCLID2 levee. The flood gates in the levee are closed, so no water from the Brazos River can enter FBCLID 2.  However, all rainfall will need to be pumped out of the levee.
• The FBCLID2 Ditch A drainage system has been pumped down to 59.7 feet.  This is down more than 6.1 feet from the peak level on Tuesday, May 7. The pump station has operated continuously with no issues since Tuesday afternoon.
• With Ditch A drainage system pumped down to 59.7 feet, only one of two large pumps can operate at the Bill Little Pump Station.  With no rainfall, this one large pump is forecasted to run until around midnight on Thursday, May 9^th.  The second large pump is ready and on standby if Ditch A returns to 61.5 feet.
• The Bill Little Pump Station also has two smaller pumps that continue to run.
• Five auxiliary pumps have also been installed in Ditch A and are pumping water out of the district.
• North of US 59, the Ditch F drainage system is pumped down to the minimum level.  The Mike Thelen pump station is ready and on standby if rainfall resumes.
